Picking a School Page 4

Shopping for a martial arts school is just like shopping for anything else. Know what you want, shop around, compare. Pick the best value for your dollar. If you are not comfortable with your choice, look around some more. Remember, you may be obligated financially for a long time. Local Recreation Councils offer martial arts courses for very small fees. After you've taken a few lessons, bought the uniform, signed a contract (if you have to), the only other thing you need to do to get the most from your study is practice. Everyone, and I mean everyone, only gets out of the martial arts what they put in.
